Sihan Sandhu was born in San Diego, CA on November 1, 2005. He moved to Virginia when he was less than a year old.
Sihan took his first golf swing at the age of 3 years imitating his dad in front of a mirror. Sihan started visiting the golf range at the age of 4 years and loved hitting golf balls. Sihan was first taught by PGA professional Mr. Paq Loganathan at 1757 Golf Club in Ashburn, VA. Paq worked closely with him for a few years and helped develop a great golf swing. Sihan started competing in tournaments at the age of 6 years. Sihan is a member at 1757 Golf Club in Ashburn, VA where he is taught by PGA Professional Mr. Adam Harrell for the past several years. Sihan has also taken clinics and enjoyed learning at Jim McLean and Butch Harmon school’s of golf at a very young age. Sihan is also a member at Pinehurst Country Club which is his home away from home where he enjoys playing his favorite course – Pinehurst #4. Sihan learns putting from Mr. David Orr in Pinehurst, NC.
Sihan has won over 100 golf tournaments including the prestigious Future Masters (two times winner), US Kids World Championship, US Kids European Championship (three times winner) and is a 16 times winner at the US Kids Regional Championships. Sihan was also a proud member representing Team USA at the European Van Horn Cup in 2017 and 2018. He also helped win World Van Horn Cup in 2018 representing Team USA by sinking the putt on Hole 18 of Pinehurst #2 in the anchor match for Team USA. This was a must make putt for birdie to win the match and the Van horn Cup for Team USA. Sihan has also competed and won in older divisions – Hurricane (Boys 15-18) and Men’s golf tournaments.
Sihan received a commending resolution from the Virginia House of Delegates at the age of 10 years for his astonishing achievements in the game of golf. He got his name engraved in the history books with the likes of George Washington, Lord Sterling, Henry Lee, Winston Churchill and several other greats.
When Sihan is not on the golf course, Sihan loves to watch TV, play basketball, spend time with his siblings and play with his dog “Snowy”.
