Sihan Sandhu: Toyota team player

DULLES, Va. (ABC7) — About the only thing Sihan Sandhu can’t do when it comes to golf – is shoot his age. Well at least not yet.

“It’s really fun it’s nice to play, ” says the 10-year-old phenom from Northern Virginia.

Sihan just returned from the US Kids World Golf Championship in Pinehurst, North Carolina.

“Everything was in sync,” is the way Sihan puts it, after a dominating score of 23-under par over just 3 days. He won the title by a margin of 17 shots!

Sihan has gone global, taking home trophies from as far away as Scotland. But there is one drawback: He can’t really play with dad anymore.

“We played 13 holes” recalls Sihan.

“He was up 11 to nothing and then I gave up” recalls his father Ruby, who now plays the role of Sihan’s caddie.

Sihan says he already has his sights set on a pro career. But for now, it’s practice, practice, practice – and elementary school.

“We just want to support his dream… and see where it goes,” said Ruby.
